Bringing home an adopted pet is exciting, meaningful and sometimes a little overwhelming. Rebel Hound’s Welcome Home Adoption Program helps new pet parents get started with complimentary food, treats and supplies chosen specifically for their new dog or cat.
We've partnered with participating pet food and supply manufacturers to provide complimentary products to qualifying adopters. We’ll help you choose items that match your pet’s needs, current diet and your plans for feeding them at home.
No purchase is required to receive a qualifying Welcome Home Bundle.
What is included?
Qualifying adopters can choose one complimentary product from up to three available categories. Products vary according to your pet’s species, dietary needs, manufacturer participation and current inventory.
Welcome Home Bundles for dogs
Newly adopted dogs may qualify for:
- A food or raw-diet product
- A treat or chew
- A useful pet supply
- A complimentary basic engraved Rebel Hound ID tag
Premium, resin and sculpted ID tag upgrades may be available for the price difference.
Welcome Home Bundles for cats
Newly adopted cats may qualify for:
- A food or raw-diet product
- A treat
- A qualifying full-size bag of cat litter
- A complimentary catnip/silvervine bean bag
We’ll help you select products that make sense for your cat rather than sending you home with items you may not use.

Who qualifies?
The program is available for dogs and cats welcomed into a permanent home through:
- A qualifying animal shelter
- A 501(c)(3) rescue organization
- A legitimate rehoming situation
- A stray-animal situation after the applicable stray-hold requirements have been completed
Dogs and cats purchased from breeders or pet sellers do not qualify for Astro’s adoption rewards. If you are uncertain whether your new pet qualifies, contact Rebel Hound before visiting and we’ll be happy to help.
Important program guidelines
- Adoption Bundles must be redeemed within 90 days of the pet’s adoption date.
- Adoption documentation is required.
- Each household may redeem one Adoption Bundle per species within a 365-day period.
- Adopters may select one item from up to three available product categories.
- Multiple products cannot be selected from the same category.
- Customers are not required to select all three available categories.
- No purchase is required.
- Products and brands vary according to enrollment, dietary needs and availability.
- All offers are available while qualifying inventory and manufacturer funding remain available.
- Rebel Hound is responsible for confirming eligibility before completing a redemption.
- Additional Astro Loyalty and participating-manufacturer terms apply.
Are you a shelter or rescue organization?
We welcome partnerships with Pittsburgh-area shelters, foster-based rescues and animal-welfare organizations.
Partner organizations can include our Welcome Home Program flyer in their adoption packets or confirmation emails at no cost. Rebel Hound handles eligibility verification, product selection, Astro registration and reward redemption.
We can also create a co-branded flyer featuring your organization’s name or logo and provide referral tracking so you can see how many adopters use the program.
